Since 2022, we have implemented a Responsible Purchasing Charter which defines a common frame of reference for all our Purchasing teams. Its aim is to guide our procurement in order to promote sustainable practices and a continuous improvement approach.

Wheat floor
Supporting the sustainable and ethical practices of our suppliers
We take great care to ensure the quality of the wheat grains used in our preparations. That’s why we’ve made a commitment to farmers and millers. For Cérélia, this means :
Local sourcing of wheat flour, the main raw material used at all our sites. By shortening our supply chains, we can also have an impact on our greenhouse gas emissions.
Promote sustainable agricultural practices that actively support soil fertility and water retention, crop diversity, biodiversity and ecosystem preservation.
Support our farmers in their transition to regenerative agriculture and healthy soils.
In line with this approach, Cérélia is committed to creating supply chains based on regenerative agriculture, in collaboration with cooperatives, farmers, millers and experts
We aim to source 7% of our wheat from sustainable sources by 2025, including organic, regenerative and fair-trade wheat.
By 2030, our aim is to achieve 100% supply of wheat flour from regenerative agriculture throughout the Group.

Palm oil
Since 2014, Cérélia has been committed to using sustainable palm oil according to these 7 principles defined in the Cérélia Sustainable Palm Oil Charter.
100% of the palm oil used by the Cérélia Group is RSPO certified.

- Oil that has not contibuted to deforestation or conversion of peatlands and areas of high conservation value
- Oil that doesn't come from slash-and-burn farming
- Oil produced by growers who respect environmental best practices
- Oil produced with respect for the rights of local populations
- Oil produced in manner that upholds human rights and workers' rights
- Oil from a supply chain that includes and supports smallholders

Recyclable packaging
For circular packaging
Developing sustainable packaging that takes into account the end-of-life cycle is a key innovation challenge for the packaging of tomorrow. As part of a continuous improvement approach to our packaging, we are actively working on :
- recyclability: single-material packaging that can be recycled in existing sorting facilities;
- their composition: integrate recycled materials whenever possible to limit the use of virgin resources;
- their weight: working closely with our suppliers to reduce the weight of our packaging while guaranteeing the quality of our products.
